We’re excited to invite you to join us for an amazing day of exploration and discovery at the Trailside Nature and Science Center! On May 20th, we’ll be hosting Astronomy Day in association with the Union County Board of County Commissioners, presented by AAI Amateur Astronomers Inc. and NJAG North Jersey Astronomical Group.
The day is packed with activities for the whole family, including children’s activities, solar observing, a scavenger hunt, and light spectrum fun. We’ll also have presentations on the James Webb Telescope at 12:30 pm and the OSIRIS Rex Mission at 2:00 pm.
In the evening, head to the William M. Sperry Observatory at Union College for a presentation on The James Webb Telescope by Kevin Conod. We’ll have observing on two of the largest public telescopes in the Northeast, and you’ll have the chance to see the wonders of the night sky up close.
This event is open to the public and free to attend, so bring your family and friends and join us for an exciting day of exploration and discovery. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about astronomy and the mysteries of the night sky.
