Four Centuries in a Weekend – @ Sperry

Sperry Observatory will be open on October 21st & 22nd from 12-5 pm, for the “Four Centuries in a Weekend” history event!

Come spend the weekend at Sperry during this annual Union County celebration of historic houses and sites.

Sperry will be open for tours, and Amateur Astronomers Inc. members will be available to answer your astronomy questions.

We will also be distributing gently-used astronomy and science-related books, magazines, and posters that were donated for this purpose.

This is a free daytime event. There is ample parking onsite, and we gladly welcome all visitors.

For more information about “Four Centuries in a Weekend”, please visit the official Union County website at: http://ucnj.org/parks-recreation/cultural-heritage-affairs/historic-sites-map/

Sperry Observatory is open every Friday night to the public free of charge from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Observing is held throughout the evening, weather permitting. A presentation on an astronomy related topic is given at 8:30 pm. See below for information about the title of the presentation.
