Monthly Meetings – Occur on the third Friday of each month from September to May. The public is welcome to the meetings. The event is free and no registration is needed.

NOTE: Due to the weather forecast, the January 19 meeting will be held online only for the members. It will also be streamed live on Amateur Astronomers, Inc.’s Facebook page. Join us there. The guest speaker will begin his presentation between 8:45 and 9:00 pm.

The January 19 meeting hosts guest speaker, Matt Garrison from Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. The title of his presentation is:

“The Long Tour and the Big Plunge: The Lucy and DAVINCI Missions at NASA Goddard”

The rest of the monthly meetings will be held in the Roy Smith Theatre which is located next to the Student Commons. They begin at 8:00 pm with a guest speaker beginning around 9:00 pm. Guest speakers include University professors, professional astronomers, NASA speakers, etc.

NOTE: Sperry Observatory is not open on the third Friday of each month until 10:00 pm after the monthly meeting is over.

AAI is celebrating 75 years as an astronomy club! Sperry Observatory is open to the public on Fridays from 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm for observing (weather permitting). A presentation is given at 8:30 pm on an astronomy related topic.  Register at the entrance to the Observatory.
