This Friday, May 17, join us for our monthly meeting in the Roy Smith Theater beginning at 8:00 pm.

Hear from 3 members of AAI about their research and/or images they have done this past season. Dr. Clif Ashcraft will talk about his measurements of the supernova in M101. Dr. Bill Griffeth will give a rundown of everyone’s observations of the April 8 total solar eclipse. And Dr. May Lou West will tell at bout her investigations of the triggers of disturbances in the Earth’s ionosphere. The presentations will begin around 9:00 pm.

Afterwards join us around 10:00 pm back in Sperry Observatory for refreshments and observing (weather permitting).

AAI is celebrating 75 years as an astronomy club! Sperry Observatory is open to the public on Fridays  from 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm (weather permitting). A presentation is given at 8:30 on an astronomy related topic. Register either through the red banner below or at the entrance to the Observatory.
