“Searching for Life in Creation” – This Friday is our monthly meeting that is held in the Roy Smith Theatre on the campus of Union College in Cranford. It is open to both members of AAI and the public. We have a guest speaker, James Renn, who is the Vatican Observatory Ambassador. The Vatican Observatory uses its telescope to search for Extraterrestrial life. In response to this search, the astronomers and even the Pope have expressed opinions on what it would mean to discover Extraterrestrial Intelligence. The presentation begins at 8:00 pm followed by AAI’s meeting. Join us to find out about this interesting and informative presentation about searching for intelligent life elsewhere in our galaxy.

Our monthly meeting is October 18 at 8:00 pm in the Roy Smith Theatre. Our guest speaker is Dr. Ell Bogat from Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. Take a tour of the different detection methods for finding new exoplanets and the various types of planets discovered. And explore how exoplanet studies have informed our understanding of the formation of our Solar System. Sperry Observatory will open after the meeting at 10:00 pm.
