The Vera Rubin Observatory is the newest international astrophysical facility to open. It can gather more data each night than all other Earthbound telescopes put together. Already, a number of groundbreaking observations have been obtained with this amazing telescope. Hear about its technology, capabilities, and its latest scientific results, and find out how you can be part of the observatory’s ten-year science mission: the Legacy Survey of Space and Time. Join us in the Roy Smith Theater at 8:00 pm followed by observing after the meeting at 10:00 pm in Sperry Observatory

And learn about Amateur Astronomers, Inc. the Astronomy club that makes its home at Sperry Observatory located on the campus of Union College in Cranford, NJ and how you can join. And, weather permitting, we will do observing through our 2 large telescopes, a 24 inch reflector and a 10 inch refractor.

Amateur Astronomers, Inc. (also known as AAI), celebrated 75 years as an astronomy club in November, 2024!

Join us this  evening, September 26, starting at 7:30 pm for our Telescope Night! Bring your telescope from home and we'll show you how to use it. See details below.
