“The Stars in Our Backyard” – What do we mean by our backyard? What stars are there that are “near” our solar system? The Universe contains billions and billions of stars. Yet, what stars are we able to see? What do we know about them? Which are “near” us compared to the rest of the Universe. Join us on Friday at 8:30 pm in Sperry Observatory to learn more about the neighbors in our backyard.

And learn about Amateur Astronomers, Inc. the Astronomy club that makes its home at Sperry Observatory located on the campus of Union College in Cranford, NJ and how you can join. And, weather permitting, we will do observing through our 2 large telescopes, a 24 inch reflector and a 10 inch refractor.

Amateur Astronomers, Inc. (also known as AAI), is celebrating 75 years as an astronomy club this November!

Join us this  evening, September 26, starting at 7:30 pm for our Telescope Night! Bring your telescope from home and we'll show you how to use it. See details below.
