Telescope Night – Tune-Up & Telescope Selection – Join us this Friday, September 26 from 7:30 pm – 10:30 pm for an evening about telescopes. There will be stations for information about telescope set-up, selecting a telescope, basic collimation, astrophotography, and navigating around the night sky. Bring your telescope from home and learn how to set it up. It is an evening devoted to understanding telescopes and how to do observing.

And learn about Amateur Astronomers, Inc. the Astronomy club that makes its home at Sperry Observatory located on the campus of Union College in Cranford, NJ and how you can join. And, weather permitting, we will do observing through our 2 large telescopes, a 24 inch reflector and a 10 inch refractor.

Amateur Astronomers, Inc. (also known as AAI), celebrated 75 years as an astronomy club in November, 2024!

See below for Friday's presentation with a guest speaker and observing information. NOTE: Observatory doors open on November 21 at 10:00 pm after the monthly meeting.
