What is a Chesapeake Invader? Is it a fish, bird or some other life that lives around the Chesapeake? Or is this about something else? This presentation deals with the major impact of an asteroidal object some 35 million years ago that has greatly affected the Eastern Seaboard’s geology and ecosystem on the East Coast, and where you can get ‘close up and personal’ in your imagination to the event, while enjoying a beautiful vacation spot. Join us on Friday at 8:30 pm to find out. And talk to members of AAI who are always willing to share their knowledge of astronomy.

And learn about Amateur Astronomers, Inc. the Astronomy club that makes its home at Sperry Observatory located on the campus of Union College in Cranford, NJ and how you can join. And, weather permitting, we will do observing through our 2 large telescopes, a 24 inch reflector and a 10 inch refractor.

Amateur Astronomers, Inc. (also known as AAI), celebrated 75 years as an astronomy club in November, 2024!

The September 19 monthly meeting begins at 8:00pm in the Roy Smith Theatre with a guest speaker. Observing occurs after the meeting around 10:00 pm in Sperry Observatory, weather permitting. See below for more information. Register through the red banner that appears on the home page.
