The cold polar regions on Earth offer unique opportunities to do science that cannot be done anywhere else. But doing science and astronomy from the coldest place on Earth has its own unique challenges that require equally unique solutions. Join us in the Roy Smith Theatre on the campus of Union College in Cranford to hear our guest speaker, David Malpas, tell us about his experiences working in Antartica. Then come to Sperry Observatory after the meeting, which ends around 10:00 pm, to do some observing, weather permitting and to talk to members of AAI who are always willing to talk about astronomy.

And learn about Amateur Astronomers, Inc. the Astronomy club that makes its home at Sperry Observatory located on the campus of Union College in Cranford, NJ and how you can join. And, weather permitting, we will do observing through our 2 large telescopes, a 24 inch reflector and a 10 inch refractor.

Amateur Astronomers, Inc. (also known as AAI), is 76 years young and still going strong!

See below for information about the weekly  presentations, times and locations.
