Information about 2 upcoming dates. First is on Friday, February 20 – The nearest stars have enhanced our understanding of stellar astronomy, Stars like Alpha Centauri, Vega and Wolf 359 fascinate both scientists and science fiction writers. The Research Consortium on Nearby Stars (RECOMS) studies our Sun’s closest stars. Join us in person in the Roy Smith Theatre on Friday, February 20 to hear about this fascinating topic with our guest speaker Dr. Todd Henry, from Georgia State University. Second, on the following Friday, February 27, join us in Sperry Observatory for a presentation on “Lost and Found, Astronomical Oopsies”. And talk to members of AAI who are always willing to share their knowledge of astronomy

And learn about Amateur Astronomers, Inc. the Astronomy club that makes its home at Sperry Observatory located on the campus of Union College in Cranford, NJ and how you can join. And, weather permitting, we will do observing through our 2 large telescopes, a 24 inch reflector and a 10 inch refractor.
