ASTRONOMY DAY is coming on SATURDAY, MAY 17! – Click on Events in the Menu bar above for more information. And join us this Friday, April 11, at 8:30 pm, for our presentation “Three Giant Telescopes: ELT, GMT, TMT”. These three telescopes are in various stages of design and construction in the world: The European Southern Observatory’s 39.3-meter Extremely Large Telescope (ELT), the 25.4-meter Giant Magellan Telescope (GMT, and the Thirty-Meter Telescope (TMT). The presentation will describe their designs and compare their properties along with the design and science of the ELT. Join us to hear about these telescopes and what their future may hold. And talk to members of AAI who are always willing to share their knowledge of astronomy.

And learn about Amateur Astronomers, Inc. the Astronomy club that makes its home at Sperry Observatory located on the campus of Union College in Cranford, NJ and how you can join. And, weather permitting, we will do observing through our 2 large telescopes, a 24 inch reflector and a 10 inch refractor.

Amateur Astronomers, Inc. (also known as AAI), celebrated 75 years as an astronomy club in November, 2024!
