AAI’s Monthly Meeting is on February 16 in the Roy Smith Theater !

Join us at 8:00 pm on Friday, February 16th for AAI’s monthly meeting. Our guest speaker is Mr. Johnathan Ward who is a member of the Royal Astronomical Society. He co-wrote the book “Through the Glass Ceiling to the Stars: The Story of the First American Woman to Command a Space Mission” His presentation begins around 8:45 pm. The meeting is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is not required.

The first Female Space Shuttle commender, Eileen Collins, had an impressive career. Not only did she deploy the Chandra X-Ray Space Telescope, she commanded the first Space shuttle mission after the Columbia accident. And so much more.

And a reminder to SAVE THE DATE, SATURDAY MAY 4TH, for ASTRONOMY DAY! Our theme is “The Science of Star Wars”. Details of the event will be forthcoming.
