“What’s Up: A Down to Earth Sky Guide”

Interested in learning what you can see in the night sky during the month of August? Join us at Sperry Observatory for our monthly presentation when we provide interesting and informative information about the night sky. Learn what constellations, star clusters and nebulae are visible and maybe a meteor shower. There may be information about Moon phases and what planets may be visible.

Also learn about Amateur Astronomers, Inc. the Astronomy club that makes its home at Sperry Observatory located on the campus of Union College in Cranford, NJ and how you can join. And, weather permitting, we will do observing through h our 2 large telescopes, a 24 inch reflector and a 10 inch refractor.

Amateur Astronomers, Inc. (also known as AAI), is celebrating 75 years as an astronomy club this coming November!

AAI is celebrating its 75th Anniversary as an Astronomy Club! Sperry Observatory is open to the public on Fridays from 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm for observing (weather permitting). A presentation is given at 8:30 pm on an astronomy related topic. Register at the entrance to the Observatory.
